1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GenerateRealData, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
GenerateRealData generates synthetic (artificial) data from a description or a database schema you provide. You are responsible for how you use the data you generate.
3. User Accounts
You must give accurate information when you create an account and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Your Data and Ownership
Any schema you define and any data you generate is yours; we claim no intellectual property rights over your outputs. We never ask for real data: uploaded SQL schemas are read for their structure only, and we store only what is needed to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Records, AI-Generated Fields and Plan Validity
Each paid plan (PRO or ULTRA) gives a number of records and AI-generated fields (one AI-generated field for each AI-written field in each row), valid for one month from the date of purchase. They expire automatically after that and cannot be used, restored or refunded. If you buy a plan again before they expire, everything unused carries over and becomes valid for one month from the new purchase. Your plan ends when its allowance is used up or expires, whichever comes first. Plans do not renew automatically. Prices are those shown on our pricing page when you buy. The free trial lasts 7 days from when it starts.
6. Records, AI-Generated Fields and Fair Use
A dataset reserves the records and AI-generated fields it needs when it starts; unused ones are returned when it finishes, and all of them are returned if it fails. AI-generated fields are charged only for values the AI actually wrote; if the AI service cannot write at least 90% of a field's values, the dataset fails and nothing is charged. The free trial is limited to one per person; creating extra accounts to obtain more trials is not allowed, and we may refuse or withdraw trials that break this rule.
7. Schema Designs and Fair Use
Every new schema design, whether made from a description, a field list, an uploaded SQL schema or through the API, runs complex AI workflows that carry a real cost for us. We absorb that cost on behalf of our customers: schema designs are not deducted from your records or AI-generated fields. Every design is saved in My designs, and generating data again from a design you already have, or from one of our ready examples, does not count as a new design. The free trial includes up to 3 schema designs. Each paid plan includes schema designs, with up to two refinements each, for normal use under a fair-use limit that applies to each pass; if it is reached, new designs pause until you buy another pass, while datasets from your saved designs and the ready examples continue as normal. Schema designs are provided to create the data you need. Repeated, automated or excessive design requests that go clearly beyond that purpose (design spam) are a breach of these Terms and will not be ignored. In such cases we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, limit or suspend the account and the email address associated with it, and cancel any active plan. A plan cancelled under this section is not eligible for a refund, and any records and AI-generated fields remaining on it are forfeited. Whether use is excessive is determined by GenerateRealData, and that determination is final. This does not affect normal use of the service.
8. File Retention
Generated files are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Please download anything you want to keep.
9. Payments, Prices and Taxes
Payments are processed by PayPal, or by Gumroad for customers in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Turkey; we never see or store your card or bank details. Prices are shown in US dollars. Where a tax such as VAT, GST or sales tax applies to your purchase, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
10. Refunds and Cancellations
Plans are one-time purchases valid for one month and do not renew automatically, so there is no subscription to cancel and you are never charged again unless you buy again. We email you a reminder 3 days before your plan ends, unless you turn reminders off in your Profile. Payments are non-refundable once a plan is activated, except where the law that applies to you requires a refund; records and AI-generated fields that have been used or have expired cannot be refunded or restored. If a dataset fails, the records and AI-generated fields it reserved are returned to your balance automatically. For all refund-related issues, contact support@generaterealdata.com with your PayPal or Gumroad order ID, and we will review your case individually. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
11. Unauthorized Purchases and Offer Codes
Offer codes and discounts are personal to the customers they are issued to and may not be shared, sold or transferred. Using an offer code that was not issued to you, misrepresenting your identity or eligibility, or paying by fraudulent, forged or otherwise unauthorized means is a breach of these Terms. In such cases we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, decline to activate the purchase, remove any records and AI-generated fields obtained through it, and suspend or permanently lock the account and the email address associated with it. Payments made in breach of this section are not eligible for a refund.
12. Acceptable Use
Do not upload real personal data, confidential records or anyone else's data you are not allowed to share: the service needs only structure. Do not use the service or its outputs for anything illegal, to impersonate real people, to deceive or defraud, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that break this section.
13. AI-Written Content
Some values (for example reviews or notes) can be written by AI on request. AI-written text may be inaccurate, unexpected or similar to existing text; check it before relying on it or publishing it.
14. API Use
API access is included with the PRO, ULTRA and Enterprise plans and uses the same records and AI-generated fields as the website. Keep your API key secret: you are responsible for all use of your key until you regenerate it. We limit request rates and allow one active dataset per account at a time, and we may suspend keys used to abuse or overload the service. We will announce breaking changes to the API in advance.
15. Limitation of Liability
GenerateRealData is provided "as is" without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the service or of synthetic datasets.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
17. Changes to These Terms
If we change these Terms we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
